For the last four years elected officials and professionals around the county have participated in the development of Westmoreland County’s Act 167 Plan, better known as the Integrated Water Resources Plan (IWRP). The IWRP includes the Model Stormwater Management Ordinance, approved by PA DEP and adopted formally on June 4, 2020 by the County Commissioners by Resolution. The ordinance was created to be flexible and should be adapted to meet the specific needs of your community. According to PA Act 167, that ordinance now must be adopted by each municipality in the county by December 31, 2020.
